Week 4: 9.15.19-9.22.19
Whoo! This week was a lot with classes, assignments, and working almost 10 hours on Wednesday. I am exhausted. While I had to play catch-up because of the music festival:), it was not entirely bad! I loved working this past weeks events: Blue Ash Dask 5k registration, the actual race, counseling services, and flag football.

Blue Ash Dash: Registration was slow, but Jennifer -UCBA fundraising coordinator- bought me Wendy's and made the time more fun! With the actual race, I started out strong until I decided to support my fellow ambassadors by sadly having to quit the race, thus quit running... or voluntarily quit... BUT, either way, it was fun! Met the goodest of boys (puppies) that day who had us head over PAWS.

Counselor Services: As it is known, October is the month of suicide awareness/prevention, so I worked at a table handing out thin, cut-slices of paper for students to write positive messages on. Our hope is to create enough messages to eventually create a ring of bracelets connecting all of the slices of paper to show support and connectedness on the subject. This event was enlightening because so many students loved to participate! I was happy to write a couple of positive notes, myself. I hope these encourage students to look on the brighter side of things by seeing how other students share similar struggles and thoughts.

Flag Football -oh boy- Definitely a favorite event I will continue to engage in due to the people I met and fun environment we (Josh and I) were able to create. I met some new faces, got two pity touchdowns, and caught a few every now and then:) Also, football is a GREAT way to throw your back out by blitzing someone. Hopefully future games go easier:-).

Overall, I am excited to keep up my pace with events because I see old and new friends and find out great things to do in-between classes. In the meantime, here are some pictures from the past events this week:) Thanks for reading.
