Glitch in the matrix
Week of 10.14.19-10.20.19
In this spooky week, I gave a tour to Anderson prospective students with Emily, picked up a welcome desk shift, worked a cold intramural flag football session, enjoyed a delicious candy-sweet-filled CandyLand event, and helped out with the French Film Festival.
Anderson tour: SO MUCH FUN. I enjoyed giving a tour to the students because I grew up in Anderson Township and made connections with them on teachers, as well as the high school teachers. I was happy to show them around campus and inform them on the opportunities offered by our campus!

As for Wednesday, it was absurdly cold. I had fun with the tour and picking up a shift for Duha.
But... dear intramural football,
you did me cold.
First off, I did not have a jacket due to my own foolery, and then on top of it, I wore white pants and was unable to play to my best abilities (which is almost as good as a rock playing flag football).
Moreover, it was still a fun time because I played with a new friend, Ellie, and we froze together!

French Film Festival: très français
Thursday was amazing because I was finally able to join my fellow executive members at a sustainability club and had a great time brainstorming ideas for the campus.
In addition, I was off work due to a change in my schedule, so, I could help out Stella by working the French Film for her which was very Frenchy. There were pears, candy, chips, and bottled water for guests and I learned a bit about French culture due to the Q & A at the end of the film. Moreover, I would very much like to work another movie night simply for learning.

Also, it was funny because at nearly 10:00pm, a pizza delivery woman came by asking if we ordered a pizza... However, she was in the wrong building so Sage and I walked her over to Walters where the class (who ordered the food)was active and their instructor offered us a slice. Hahaha. Quite the odd night.
Due to Jasmine's brilliant idea for a fun, stress relieving activity I was able to help bring joy and sweets to students. The turn out was great and people were happily shocked when they found out it was an event for THEM. So many students told me that it was nice to throw an event just to help students' stress.

I had a great time meeting other students, as well as seeing my friends come out. It was a nice time provided to students and I felt great being able to give back. If not all, many of us have been feeling stressed. So, this event really helped spark some fun and good vibes.
